The quantity as of now is low. Only this project. So i would be needing at max 3 or 4 boards total. hence i can go with multiple ADCs.

The numerical calibration will be needed even with passive amp, so i guess it is better i leave out passive amps.

The best point is about load cell failure detection, OR with some good checking, loadcell degrading performance detection would serve as a Early-warning indication for Cleaning / replacing / re-calibrating the loadcells.
