If this can actually happen, a simple analog summing of load cells' signals wouldn't uncover such a failure!! So, I would recommend to use individual AD621 to amplify the load cell's signals, as you intend, but to sum them digitally up, by the help of a microcontroller, AFTER performing a plausibility check. By this a failing sensor cannot ruin the average and you will be able to detect the failure at all! Kai Klaas |
