Kai, thanks a lot. Just one trouble, i am sure it must be something very simple but i just cant get it in my head for the moment - Digital summing module ?

Does this mean a uC + ADC on-board the summing module and then sum the digitized load-cell values, and transmit the result to the control module via some serial link ?

IF this is so, then referring to Erik's suggestion, "get a 3x channel ADC and connect the load-cells directly to the ADC and sum in code". In this approach there would not be a need for IAs between load-cells and ADC hence reducing system error and cost. Just to confirm if this is so ?
