#170219 - ... not the adapter, but the wire-wrap board ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I guess I figured the 8255 hookup would be of more interest than my old wire-wrap board with the Vcc plane on top and the Vss plane on the bottom, dry-film solder mask, and plated-through holes in a 0.100" matrix throughout the board. I'll have to find some web space to dedicate to hardware that's not so limited. IIRC, I have a several GB of space on at least one ISP, space that I'm no longer using to distribute pictures of grandkids, the flowers in the garden, etc.

If you want to see the thing, please provide me with a URL to which I can FTP/HTTP it. I doubt it's going to be of much use to you, but it does provide an insight into how I do my onesies. The main thing I initially wanted people to see was the way in which supply bypass could be attached to each and every hole on the board, and attached to the opposite plane with minimal lead length. The planes are, of course, a contiguous pour of Vcc and Gnd throughout the entire area of the board, with the exception of an unmasked Gnd strip around the perimeter of the board, for purpose of attaching instrument probe ground straps. Back when I designed that board, a 6" Gnd strap on an oscilloscope probe was adequate. Today, they have to be well under 5 cm from the signal being monitored, else the lead inductance/capacitance becomes a major factor in the quality of the observed signal.
