"Veroboard" is a brand name for strip-board.

i was wondering what you guys generally do with a QFP

Richard has already mentioned wire-wrapping;

I would put it on an adaptor from the likes of Wilmslow or Roth (see RS/Farnell), and connect that to the stripboard.

Here's one I prepared earlier (not TQFP, I know):



For stripboard you really need an adaptor to a DIL pinout; otherwise, you could use matrix board instead...
