Only notebooks more than 8year old have com ports.
Nothing is left now.
RJ11 socket is for modem alright but internal modem connects
to COM1. So you can connect external modem by telephone line
and keep some BIAS voltage upto 12V on tel line to simulate
call.The output of external modem can be COM port required.
