The problem is not only RTS/DTS but COMM dll files in Vista.
Serial programer has interface in PC mostly with Visual Basic.
This waits for certain instructions from COMM but something like
EOF etc isnt recieved. Then the interface declares that port
is TIMED OUT and not working. The programmer I use has need of
only RX/TX lines and common. Also Microsft has decreed to obsolote
the serial / parallel ports so there are not many manufacturers
giving Vista drivers.
