I have BAFO BF-816 USB to 2x Serial converter:

It has a Moschip MCS7720 USB chip, and what appears to be two RS232 transceivers; but, unfortunately, their markings are illegible.

It works electrically, but it is a totally stupid product design: it has two completely identical RS232 connectors - there is absolutely no way to distinguish which one is which (apart from trial & error)!!
