There is a very large chasm between engineering and Arts subjects. Copying text or ideas is called plagiarism in one but intelligent investigation in the other.
If the student does not understand how or why some code works then it is likely that they just copied it. If they know how to find, copy AND understand then they have succeeded. Their teachers will recognise it too. Yes. Ideas rather than solutions are a more effective way of absorbing the knowledge. David. |
