If Chico could see through to the idea of increasing his number of PWM steps available on each color channel from 5 steps to 8 steps (i.e. from 0 to 7) then the available range of colors in the rainbow stripe increases up to 42 (not counting the duplicate ends of the sequence).
Chico, is your PWM stepping size limited to the five available settings due to the timer resolution and the need to keep the PWM FREQ as high as possible? Look to see if your hardware can support 8 levels of PWM value. I made another spreadsheet showing the color map when eight levels are available.
