#168839 - Now when did I say that?

you don't like the desk phone because some asshole spent his office time yakking on the phone?

Presumably by the same logic that concludes that 'C' is bad because some incompetent(s) programming in 'C' produced bad code...

I've never said that 'C' was good or bad. I just said I don't use it myself, nor do I encourage others to do so for a number of reasons I've explained quite clearly.

The reason I don't like personal business transacted on my time is because I don't like seeing/hearing people being unproductive when I'm paying for their productivity by the minute. If they go off on their own and I pay them for the work piece, which is my preferred mode, I couldn't care less, as I don't see or hear it, and, it doesn't cost me anything nor does it disturb me or others. What I really care about is quality, schedule, and budget. I guess that makes me somewhat of a manager ... <sigh> ...
