Westermark, It is actually possible to have it both ways! You can even have it as a private DNS server with a public address. In fact, we do it all the time.

Let me check the API in detail. If you have already used it, could you tell me how easy it is to implement it? Are there any other providers with whom this API will work? Currently, we do the same thing, by using a socket listener on a public machine which works as announcer. But a standard method is much better.
