No, you do not need to add DynDNS to the list of DNS servers. The Internet design already has an hierarchy of DNS servers and whenever your local DNS can't resolve something, it will talk with this hierarchy to find out how to get the requested information.
How do you think you will be able to resolve www.microsoft.com? Your local DNS will not know anything about it. But the request will reach - thrugh several layers of caching - the DNS responsible for the domain microsoft.com, and the answer will propagate back to the DNS your machine is using. Same thing with DynDNS. Others are using the same API to register the IP number.
