To remove all doubt, however, you might consider using an "enter" key. It depends on whether your switches are momentary "key" switches, or static SPDT's. If they're the latter, then the "enter" key is the only one that has to be debounced. If they're momentary, then there's always the risk that there'll be a bit of bounce. However, momentaries always return to the same (open, most likely) state, don't they?
