1nF is about the largest capacitor that will effectively suppress RF pickup from the omnipresent mobile phones.

often "it does not suppress when I increase the capacitance value" is not due to the capacitance value, but to the type of capacitor. The type of "a" capacitor will typically change as capacitance values increase. I can find you a 100nF capacitor that will suck the transmission of anything, but my "grab bag" 100nf will not.
