#123410 - current consumption Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Of course, current consumption depends on a zillion of things and I understand the reluctance of any manufacturer to publish data (or other data than labelled PRELIMINARY and TYPICAL with a lot of disclaiming stuff in small letters - that's what is in the PIC16F84 datasheet).
However, even those "meaningful" figures are better than nothing when one has to make design decision on a chip which is going to be powered out of thin air, yet has to perform quite a lot of work (i.e. it cannot be a combination of full speed plus powerdown). The exact whereabouts of the chip chosen were then investigated more thoroughly, of course. Jan Waclawek |
