You will need a nice bezel for the front though. Yes ,This is not so hard i think.This could be made by using The Vacuum Forming.There is also another option to make it out of what we call here FlexiGlass (flexible,by heat, transparent sheets made of plastic.like the one i used currently for my current dash). That could be turned on a lathe from aluminium I think it would be better to place the Aluminum front cover behind the front transparent.The Alminum cover could make a good cover on the PCB and 7Segs make them to look hot.Actualy this need a lot of time and consulting with some interested costumers.Currently I have 3 incomplete projects in my hand .I'll try to think more on this and ask my specific questions later. I don't really see why you would need expensive tooling. Now , with all your helps I didn't see those needs either. About the sbmcc.co.uk, This is a good source of info.There are many fields that I am intrested to and of course good links to more info on them.A good place to start.I will have to spend a lot of time reading the archived discussions.
