#105558 - RE : Electrolytic, really? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Kai,Thanks for a very nice detailed reply.
Imagine, that no capacitor was connected across interrupter. Then, rise time of potential change on this cable (between interrupter output and ignition coil) would be very high. This would cause the emission of extreme interference. I remmember a time that the Transistorized moudle got broken and it wasn't running unless if the Condenser is removed. In that time my Car's Computer was reseting unexpectedly. I would use a polypropylen foil capacitor rated at 630V for this task. To be honest , when i opened the capacitor's metal enclosure , i saw many layers of foil with a tissue like paper in between them. Now,Again i am having noise problems :( ! My Car's Computer gets reseted time to time.I think i'll have to take my Scope down to my car and see what is going on the 12V supply.I don't dont know what type of noise it could pass input LC filter,Switching power supply,Output LC filter ! ?
