I have looked it up. I didn't read the entire datasheet, but on the surface it looks suitable, which is why I asked. I have been fooled by "optimistic" datasheets once already, so an opinion from someone with experience with the C8051F53x would be welcome :)


Yes, the whole Silabs F5xx series are Automotive/Industrial, and spec'd for 5V operation.
This family also has ±0.5% osc and -40 to 125 °C & 12-bit ADCs
