#179466 - Should Be Able To Examine Using Logic Analyzer Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You should be able to analyze the signals using the logic analyzer.
At least, I would expect to be able to do so on a fairly professional unit. For example, in this case, I would use my Logicport analyzer to: 1. View RS232 Tx signals in analog mode (to look for questionable bit levels, glitches, etc.). -AND- 2. Simultaneously view RS232 Tx signals at a higher sample rate and lower 1/0 (high/low bit) voltage trigger to see what's really going on. I would also use set it up to compare bytes going IN to the MAX232 against those going out (respective of translated voltage levels of course). A built-in protocol interpreter will help get the job done quickly. Good luck! :) |
