#170284 - RE: I am asking for advice on 8052.com
Responding to: ???'s previous message
That's where I'm confused - what advice, exactly, is it that you require?
- Technical advice about how to design and/or make a PID temperature controller?
- Commercial advice about how to launch a product?
- Or what?

I have done some market research which is easy to to do these days with the help of the internet.

It's easy to find out what's currently available on the market - which is fine if you're just doing a "me too" product;
What's more difficult is to find out what people would pay for that isn't already available...

Currently, it is possible to purchase a 3 term controller from China costing about £25, however the spec. is far from perfect

I guess that people who buy it find that the spec is perfectly adequate for their needs?

even set at 1 sec is way to (sic) slow

Is it?

the other problem is its output relay cantact is underated at about 2amps 250Vac, should be 16 amps @ 250Vac

Not if you only want to control a 400W heater!

and the relay should be pluggable in a pcb mounted base for easy replacement.

Should it?

Of course, if you could do all this and still make a profit at £25 then you have a clear advantage!
