This noise generator can also be used to directly generate random bits at the input of any free port pin of 8051. For this, a flipflop like the 74HCT74 should be added, though, to guarantee a true 50:50 distribution of "0" and "1" bits. This is due to DC shifts of the analog output of noise generator, which would favorize either "0" or "1" and result in an unideal distribution. This is no problem when modulating the /INT0 input, but when reading the output of noise generator directly.
