#170160 - First and ONLY Time I reply to this Responding to: ???'s previous message |
First off, a lot of the people who post here are generally much more diligent in looking for an answer than on other forums. This can be easily seen by looking at numerous other forums regarding the 8051. In other forums the OP looks for code and circuits with a basic view of what they want without doing any work whatsoever. They also generally get this information from a poster. I've already looked at them and it's ridiculous. This site tends to encourage the art of learning. Second, a lot of threads on this forum complain way too much about this "KARMA" and certainly distracts from the original partition of the thread, as in this case. Thirdly, many posters will post on a whole bunch of forums, not just this one, to get an answer quickly. This forum is specifically dedicated to the 8051/8052, how much information can you really get out of this? Oh I need to interface.... oh i need to make a timer.... there are really only so many topics that can be discussed and repetition is expected. To make matters worse, karma points will generally silence people from posting if negative and boosts the ego if positive and when it is positive it's generally a derivative from someone else's thought process within a previous partition of the thread (meaning they did not come to that conclusion without the help of the previous post). So, should the people responsible be given positive posts, as well? This also applies to people who get negatives. They get negatives because of previous posts that direct to a wrong answer, in some cases. The karma points are completely ridiculous and people do not use them as informative in nature because you do not even see them until you are looking at the poster's post which indicates a complete waste of time from loading the page. ENOUGH complaining! Oh wait, I am sorry if I had searched I would have seen this topic literally hundreds of times before...... -1 to myself do not read my response! |
