If no hw noise generator is available, I do recommend a normal pseudorandom generator as already discussed here for low-end requirements.
The J1708 (and other?) standard specify that after a bus collision a random delay is to be inserted before the next transmission attempt. I have had two devices collide (and locking the bus) eternally because they used the same pseudo-random algorithm. Erik |
