It was in octal, however.
I found that most guys first wrote a loader that allowed input from paper tape, and, with that, wrote a monitor that allowed editing of memory, and, with that, wrote an assembler, and, with that, wrote a machine-resident editor. Then came a coresident editor/assembler/debugger. I liked the editor/assembler/debugger combinations ... RE I am not old enough for hex or octal switches, but I can remember writing macro cross-assemblers. but this was 26 years ago. I have no problem with you using whichever historic tools you like. I also have no problem with you asking your clients to purchase their own Keil licences. I doubt if your clients think it appropriate though. However it is worth gaining some knowledge about "current" tool sets before passing unsubstantiated opinions. David. |
