The Keil tools are NOT limited, the Keil eval is. If you have a problem with a cost that is rapidly recovered (by increased productivity) then get out of Dodge. I think the discussion just got confused. Richard complains that the Keil tools produce binaries 2k bytes or larger in size, for even simple code. Which is possibly true, depending on exactly what that code does. But that's not relevant, because perhaps what you want to do really DOES require 2k bytes of binary, as produced by pages of assembly code. Erik refers to the arbitrary 2k-byte binary limitation built into the Keil eval versions, which is a completely separate issue. -a |
