#183995 - PC XT @10MHz
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I do have an original IBM PC 4.77MHz with a 5 1/4 FDD 360K
upgraded with a HDD of 20MB(and a similar WANG PC).
If it is powered up it is working.
MSDOS with Fortran77, BasicA and Edlin is installed and can be used right away. Even Metalink Assembler runs in 640K of RAM. Using a CGA or Hercules
graphics card, and a modem of 2400bps is it possible to network this kind of machine and have channels of communication to be be used in the modern environment ?
Only as a joke.
But you can have it as a virtual machine hosted in VMware ESX/GSX/vCenter
for education purposes.
According to working environment a developer can manage a specified task.
If the environment is not preferrable then use another better.
