#183981 - Sounds highly unlikely to me! Responding to: ???'s previous message |

In this virtual machine you can run every "classic" application like DOS apps and other win16/32 stuff. The usual reason why old (sometimes not-so-old) MS-DOS/Win16/Win32 apps fail in "recent" Windoze (including XP) is usually because of the level of "virtualisation" already inherent in it - meaning that you can't directly hack with port hardware registers, etc. So it sounds highly unlikely to me that adding a further level of virtualisation can help anything!! Another option is to use VMware wich is a superior solution. I know people who have been unable to get "old" apps to work under VMWare - I very much suspect that it is for the reasons stated above. |
