Which can be envisioned as a roomful of the best workstations (like the Apple Mac Pro), with a Dell Craptiplex sitting on the floor.

Seriously, I had a Dell Precision that gave me no end of fits and starts. There's another machine here called "Flake" which exhibits similar issues. The main machine at work now is one of the XPS "gamer" machines, which was cheaper and faster than a Precision, and seems to be more stable too. The case is pretty ugly, though.
