Is 64-bit Win-7 likely to give me loads of grief?

I don't have much (any?) real old "legacy" stuff that doesn't work on XP - so should I be fine...?
I was, for a short assignment, provided with a Win7 machine, unfortunately I do not know if 32 or 64, but due to the size (and (lack of) Win expertise) of that company I am confident it was whatever Dell (at that time) provides.

I had no problems with Keil and CodeWright.
