... to support subarguments. It's bad enough that this thread has gotten twisted about, largely, I fear, due to my bEagle remarks, but I'm not sure I understand even which post is the one to which you're referring.
I certainly didn't score any of your posts as "wrong." It's possible some things have changed since my last contact with bEagle. Though my client legally and painfully bought the "full-up" bEagle due to the fact I told him the free version was useable, much to my chagrin, it turned out that the full-up version left a lot of work to be hand-done once its autorouter was "finished." The Allegro router certainly does a better job, as do numerous others, some of which don't cost any more than full-up bEagle, though Allegro does, yet their schematic capture modules produce much nicer drawings with much less pain. I haven't seen a good, solid library management system on any Windows-based package, though. That's why I like the old DOS-based OrCAD stuff. I don't use it much, but I like it, since any component I want is on the schematic as quickly as I type the part number ... of course it has to be the correct part number. RE |
