... to support subarguments. It's bad enough that this thread has gotten twisted about, largely, I fear, due to my bEagle remarks, but I'm not sure I understand even which post is the one to which you're referring.

It's possible some things have changed since my last contact with bEagle. Though my client legally and painfully bought the "full-up" bEagle due to the fact I told him the free version was useable, much to my chagrin, it turned out that the full-up version left a lot of work to be hand-done once its autorouter was "finished."

The Allegro router certainly does a better job, as do numerous others, some of which don't cost any more than full-up bEagle, though Allegro does, yet their schematic capture modules produce much nicer drawings with much less pain.

I haven't seen a good, solid library management system on any Windows-based package, though. That's why I like the old DOS-based OrCAD stuff. I don't use it much, but I like it, since any component I want is on the schematic as quickly as I type the part number ... of course it has to be the correct part number.
