I've had little time lately, and I'm vitally interested in free software, because I can easily base my work on it and persuade my clients to use it whenever possible. If it works adequately, it's "good enough" and if it is like bEAGLE, it's just not good enough.

After Labor Day (9/6/2010) I may have a bit more time, but I'm curious whether anyone who's had experience with the windows-based Altium, Cadence, Mentor, or OrCAD tools has done anything significant with the Designspark schematic tools, including symbol editing.

How well the router works is, of course, also intersting, but evaluating the "quality" of the router is more subjective. How well does it resolve metric/imperial dimensioning? How well does it allocate space? How effective is it at placing pours, mask, and silkscreen, and how much bother is it?
