The webmaster wants to implement a scheme that will remove some of the most blatantly offensive language, including, by the way, SMS abbreviations. It makes perfect sense that he would like to minimize the effort of the moderator(s).

He seems to believe that an offensive-word list that generates a warning prior to posting and draws the attention of the moderator(s) to that post is a step in the right direction. As it happens, I agree with him. It makes good sense to me.

The fact that he is willing to participate at all is a good thing, and, so long as it's up to him, alone, what the "offensive word list" contains, It'll be all right. If the responsibility moves to a committee, it will become a morass through which I wouldn't wander.
