Very good idea. Certain words could be banned entirely and others could generate that warning that you suggestion (and probably immediately send me an email notifying me that someone is choosing to live on the edge).

You can get into "interesting" situations with this kind of thing.

Another forum I use has recently introduced such a thing, and there's now a few threads just with people trying which naughty words it misses, and which innocuous words it over-zealously moderates...

There's also the problem that words offensive in one area/culture might not be in another...
