#151170 - stuff
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I was also thinking of adding a section for the common abbreviations that some use

It's always debatable how far to go with repeating this stuff, and when to just refer to the many existing glossaries...

If you do decide to include it, you might add:

IANAL = I Am Not A Lawyer (usually followed by "but...")

For the benefit of non-Amerikans, in addition to just saying what "YMMV" stands for, you might want to add an explanation of what it would mean in the context of a thread on 8052.com...

Anything else that needs/should be added?

Information to know: (pre-requisite)
One major omission is studying the documentation (data sheets, manuals) and other supporting information for the chips & tools being used.

Although the so-called "bible" for the 8051 is, indeed, an essential reference, I don't think it quite deserves "The Bible" with capitals...

Note that "word for word verbatim" is a tautology.

Could do with some instructions on using the 'Quote Text' button and tags - especially on just quoting relevant text, and not entire posts!
