But just about every PDF link on every website has a note by it saying, "to view this, download this free software" - where the "free software" in question is the Adobe Acrobat Reader!


a difference is that the Acrobat reader is "standard Operating Procedure" whereas e.g. 'Eagle' definiely would not be.

Also, I have a lot less 'fear' downloading from Adobe (that are trying to make revenue from giving away the reader), than downloading from Joe Blow who are not. If Adobe 'inserted' something in the Adodbe Reader
