Hi Andy,

As some have already pointed out, the trouble with using DXF is the lack of symbol libraries. But more than that, I've never seen a netlist format that was even a little bit difficult to read as text. Once you understand what a netlist is, you can pretty much read any of them. And at that point, it's about dirt simple to convert it into whatever format you like. I really believe that's why there's no standard, because it's just not particularly necessary. At the very least, it would take a lot of effort to create, and I doubt that many would adopt it, or care that anyone else had or hadn't.
