#146380 - The purpose of publishing - the real question...?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I said:
JPEG would be a particularly poor choice for this!

Point taken, but the idea is the same.

Sure.

So the real question is, what is the intended purpose of "publishing to the web"?

If it's just for people to look at, then a suitable (not JPEG!) graphic image or a PDF will be fine.

But, if you want people to actually be able to work with the published stuff with their own tools, then you need some accepted file format(s) for that...

So, again, the specific tool that you use is not particularly important; the important thing is to ensure that you can export to suitable formats - whether by 3rd-party utilities or built-in support.

Maybe the real question should be, "what is/are the most widely accepted format(s) for interchange of EDA data?"...
