The crux is just, that in most cases the manufacturer does not give sufficient information about internal reset topology, so that you are just not able to find a suited "resistor solution". Again, what works for the one chip on your desk might fail with the next production run! As long as manufacturer does not explicitely suggest this solution in their datasheet, application, or else, I would heavily recommend not to use such a simple "resistor solution". Kai |
