but to answer the original question, its quite easy to control the brightness of an LED by whats called pulse width modulation
about the 10th time in this thread that this has been stated.

now, when you read the 'other' questions posted by Ammar Ahmed, e,g, kindly tell me something about TIMER FLAG 1 and TIMER FLAG 0 you will realize that such a concept as PWM is beyond his scope at this time.

Ammar is one more of those that believe that crawling is too menial, and thus will spend much longer rime learning to walk.
