In fact, I'm not sure; but I guess you're talking about a "Light-to-Frequency" converter (I'm sure the PDF would confirm...).

You seem to be talking about closed-loop control of the intensity; I suspect that the OP is actually just after adjusting the intensity - with no feedback...?
