if youtintensity loop taks more than 8ms (you may be able to get by with 10ms) the LED will appear to be blinking.

WHY DO YOU MAKE THE SIMPLE COMPLICATED

use PWM the way it is supposed to be used.

There are T2 PWM possibilities, but the vanilla solution is with the PCA.
