You began knocking down what Mahmood and I suggested by "this little...".
If you want to make this whole thing abot words rather than content, I have no say but 6that you are missing the picture. I can see no way that mentioning that a Ferrari is faster is "knocking down" Chevy. I challenge you to find ONE place where I say "do not use the processor suggested by Kalpak". If suggesting another alternative and leaving it to the OP to decide what to use is wrong, then I have no idea what this forum is about. Did I, in any place "find fault" with your suggestion - NO, I merely stated that a faster alternative was available. Did you then get busy finding fault with my suggestion - YES. When I state that neither you nor I have any idea if the faster alternative is needed, only tho OP can judge that, you state For that matter even the general analysis you have made makes no sense after I have just stated that I have made no analysis. If you Kalpak, claim to know more about this than the OP, then I am, of course, mistaken. You seem to take evrything I write as an attack, that is your problem. Erik that under what circumstances would the faster wipers of Chevy make it better than a Ferrari? Or in other words, would you care to explain how only a faster and higher resolution ADC would make an 8 bit processor better than a 16 bit DSP at doing RMS and integration for the 50 Hz Rogowski coil application. Again nowhere have I said that I have understood this problem better than Purohit or Klaas, or even better than you. It you who commented that neither of us have understood the application well. I could be wrong too, even the DsPIC may not be good enough for this application. Either not enough speed of processing or ram, so nowhere have I either said that the DSPIC is the best solution. Jez 's solution of CPLD/FPGA or a 32 bit DSP might be necessary. |
