Yes, we here can also buy individually selected caps from our dsitributor: He takes a standard slot from manufacturer, takes a high precision capmeter and selects us the caps with wished tolerance band.
evidently you replied to this as I posted http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read.phtml?id=110059 and the same concerns in that post will apply to "distributor selected devices".

I just happened to read that the caps used have an aging tolerance of 0.5% that basically proves my point. What is the purpose of selecting within 0.1% if the device may be off by 0.5% within the lifetime of the equipment.
