If it is a bona fide evaluation - with a genuine view to purchase - it is my experience that the vendors can be accomodating.

Why would you need to do it repeatedly?

Surely, once you have the tools, the only time you'd need to re-evaluate would be if they stop meeting your needs, or if you have reason to beleive that the competition has made some leap forward...?
