I quite understood the 'user compilation size' limit for the linker.

I had not clicked about the 2k chips though. Of course this neatly destroys anyone using a AT8LP2052. The AT89LP4052 parts are pretty suspect too!

I will give up with Keil. I have no problem with buying a SiLabs board if you get something usable. I have no intention of paying £1000s for a full licence.
