#183672 - Unfortunately
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Erik Malund said:
1) "will be fixed in next release"

I have had that from Keil, too.

2) I have no intention of fixing bugs in a compiler

At least open-source gives you the option

3) uses more resources than e.g. Keil

That may well be true.

Is there any independent comparison?

4) when dong commercial you can not afford the time to debug "is it the compiler or my code"

Unfortunately, using commercial software does not exempt you from that.

I have suffered from a Keil bug.

5) I tried using SDCC once, what an 'experience'

I haven't actually tried SDCC vs Keil C51, but I have tried GCC vs Keil ARM MDK
