#183637 - Eval Tools. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Keil spells it out in fairly good detail if you search on their site for "limitations of the evaluation tools". The org of the code at 2K is one of the limitations. It keeps the tools from being used for free to develop code for small parts that have just 2K bytes of code store. It also limits the total size of C objects that can be linked as well.
If you purchase a SiLabs eval board it comes with a CD that has a free copy of the Keil tools that live by a somewhat less strigent set of rules that the web download eval tool set. Its main feature is to be able to make larger executables. I do not recall if it removes the 2K offset or not. Michael Karas |
