I have no problem buying a licence for a sensible set of features at a reasonable price.

UK distributors seem to be incapable of publishing price lists.

However the documentation of various kit bundles suggests 4kB of code.
I cannot believe that any USB devices would get very far. Likewise, any 32kB or 64kB chip is a bit pointless.

I suppose that the simple answer is to only use devices where the Manufacturers offer tools.
