Yes, I have had Keil bugs, but not in the last decade - all Keil bugs I've seen since then have been related to the optimizer, which I do not use, since debugging is essential - even on released units.

re comparison SDCC and Keil
I did one ~15 years ago and SDCC lagged about 40% in both code size and execution speed. Maybe someone has newer numbers
